Vacuum Heat Treat Technician
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in this field of which one (1) year must been at the journeyman level or equivalent.
- Must possess the ability to perform all required work prior to heat treat including proper cleaning of engine parts and proper loading/fixturing of parts in the furnace.
- Must be capable of programming the furnace to run the various cycles required for the part requiring vacuum heat treat.
- Must be capable of monitoring the furnace system to assure that all parameters are met in accordance with the applicable technical data to include time, temperature, vacuum and cooling rate as required.
- The technician will be required to institute a viable preventative maintenance plan.
- Must be familiar with the heat treatment of nickel base and cobalt alloys that require vacuum heat-treat in conjunction with F-100 engine repair operations.
