Purpose:

Using information and data provided by technical experts; formats, organizes, and produces photo quality copies of technical manuals, regulations, and user guides with primary orientation to the documentation relevant to maintenance data automation requirements and procedures. Provides expert advise on the structuring, organization and readability, of maintenance manuals and regulations.

Specialty Summary:

Ability to prepare correspondence, technical manuals, polices and procedures, and user guides for signature and to develop and implement documentation procedures as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will prepare correspondence, technical manuals, policies and procedures, and user guides utilizing USAF DOD Military Specifications and Terminology (e.g. acronyms, jargon) required by any and all staff members of the Directorate of Computing (DOC) on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide administrative support to the staff of DOC for development of military documents and memos as required by the Director of DOC or his designee.

Special Qualifications:

• College Degree in Documentation or Equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience with the preparation of military documents and a working knowledge of USAF terms, acronyms, and jargon.
• Excellent writing and verbal skills are required and may be tested.
