Positions open for members of software engineering teams responsible for the development and maintenance of software for advanced avionic applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and verify software according to the software life cycle process
• Develop the software high-level requirements for a functional area from the system level requirements
• Develop the software architecture and low-level requirements for a functional area from the software high-level requirements
• Develop software source code for a functional area from the software architecture and low-level requirements
• Integrate the software source code for a functional area with both the software source code from other functional areas and the target hardware to develop the integrated airborne system
• Perform reviews and analyses to assess the accuracy, completeness, and verifiability of the software requirements, architecture, and source code
• Develop and subsequently execute software test cases and procedures to ensure compliance of the software code with the high and low level software requirements

Qualifications:

• Three (3) years proven experience in software development, minimum 
• Five (5) + years experience in software development , preferred
• Experience with C or C++ programming language
• Experience in at least one of the following:
  • Developing applications/middleware for a Linux/Unix platform
  • Developing applications for a Windows platform
  • Developing real time systems for a RTOS platform
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and PC skills
• Experience with software development processes according to industry standards
• Experience with industry standard RTCA DO-178B, preferred
• Experience developing requirements with DOORS, preferred
• Experience developing APIs, preferred
• Experience using GTK, preferred

Education Requirement:

• BSCS/EE/SE or MSCS/EE or other technical college degree
