Senior Contracts Administrator
Must have a legal background. Law Degree/Juris Doctorate, preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage & negotiate with suppliers to draw up procurement contacts.
- Perform the full range of contracts administration, monitoring customer, supplier and company contractual compliance through contract close out.
- Formulates and coordinates procurement proposals.
- Responsibilities include negotiation, administration, extension, termination and renegotiation of contracts.
- Assures appropriate reviews and approval processes are accomplished; recommends contract or other action approvals.
- Directs & coordinates activities of workers engaged in formulating bid proposals.
- Evaluates or monitors contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
- Approves or rejects requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules.
- Arbitrates claims or complaints occurring in performance of contracts.
- Implement contracting policy and procedures and assures information availability to company management on which the contract and business decisions may be based on.
- Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices.
- Provides contract interpretation advice to other Contracts Administrators, Contracts Managers, Contracts Director and other management personnel as required in this area of assigned responsibility.
- Interact with legal and contract representatives from other major corporations and other governments, U.S. and/or Saudi.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration/ finance/ law/ contracts/ purchasing/ economics.
- At least 7-10 years experience in US Federal government and commercial contracts, preferably in military and civil aircraft maintenance-related field, strong knowledge of FAR, DFAR, FMS, ITAR and other related regulations and how to read and interpret them as required.
- Experience in procuring information technology electronic services and equipment and writing BPA.
- Must have a legal background.
- Law Degree/Juris Doctorate, preferred.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of all types of Government contracts including CPFF, FFP, IDIQ, Labor Hour, and T&M contracts.
- Ability to communicate and demonstrate skills and methods accurately and clearly.
- Must be able to handle the multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong contracts/ legal background and the expertise to challenge the statement of work (SOW), the PCO and/or ACO on contractual issues when required.
- Prior USAF Contracting Officer experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office required.
