Regional Manager Maintenance Services (AIRLINE, IFE)

Job Summary:

  • Key business leader in the management of the Maintenance Services (MS) business and operations at the local regional level.
  • Develop and manage the business interest of MS in the region which includes coordinating as required with the various Marketing, Engineering and other company groups in the region.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations, and cooperate with all regulatory agencies and their representatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the regional MS Business plan which includes strategies and operational goals.
  • Maintain good customer relationships with airline customers based in the region.
  • Actively pursue new MS business activities and participate in regional negotiations to acquire new business.
  • Contributes for contract negotiations indicating appropriate operational values and issues to be included in the final agreement.
  • Develop performance requirements among the team to consistently work towards enhancing Corporation's reputation among customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance of MS contractual commitments.
  • Ensure the MS operational sites have the appropriate resources to perform at the standards and practices specified in the company Maintenance Operation Exposition (MOE).
  • Oversee all "third party" maintenance organizations to ensure service agreements are being met.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Financial management education or experience.
  • Ten (10) years experience managing a maintenance organization.
  • Five (5) years project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of global civil aviation regulations and requirements.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Possess strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience with contract negotiation and program review meetings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present to executive decision makers.
  • Ability to organize and implement department objectives.
  • Excellent understanding of financial controls and budgets.
  • Highly developed team building and leadership traits.
  • Excellent customer service skills and awareness.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth Knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinate managers.
  • Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.

Other:

  • May require travel, up to 50% of the time to domestic and/or international locations.
