Ramp Manager (Aviation)
WESTERN APPLICANTS ONLY (USA, UK, EU, AUS) The Ramp Manager will ensure that the company ramp operations are executed safely and efficiently, and in accordance with Task Force Command Operations Orders (OPORD) and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGO)

Key Tasks:
- Ensures Ramp Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Protocols are adhered to at all times
- Records and reports all aviation issues to appropriate personnel, to include: After Action Reports (AARs), Incident Reports, maintenance issues, etc
- Ensures that the ramp is kept to operational standards at all times,
- Foreign Object Damage (FOD) is minimal, maintenance schedules are followed, and the ramp reflects the high level of quality and attention to detail of the company
- Flies with cargo to Forward operating Bases (FOBs) located throughout Afghanistan as necessary
- Notifies Management of any delay in scheduled flights
- Performs a wide variety of duties as required
- Accurately records and reports aircraft cargo documents
- Liaises and operates with local authorities and relevant military personnel Ramp Managers
- Serves as the Aviation Representative for the Ramp, to liaise between the company and necessary parties.
- Follows flight schedules daily to facilitate delivery of customer's order in the most effective manner possible.
- Works with the company to ensure receipt and delivery of cargo to and from warehouse by air/road to and from Airport.
- Monitors flight traffic and manages/reacts to any Air Control Measures (ACM).
- Ensures follow-up and After Action Review (AAR) are forwarded to Field Manager and Operations Managers
- Provides briefs to Aircrew and Contractor Flight Managers on current and future situations.
- Daily end of day back briefs to Management.
- Ensures staff rosters are adhered to and oversees local laborers where applicable.
- Ensures company Management is aware of issues at Ramp daily.
- Liaise with Dispatch, Warehouse and Operational staff to ensure correct and timely cross load of cargo.
- Liaises with the Logistics Manager to report status/ensure proper upkeep of the company assets involved with ramp operations
- Ensures accurate aircraft cargo documents are maintained and reported at the close of each business day Ramp Managers: Mail and Ammo
- Ensures the company operations are executed in accordance with the current Task Force Command Operations Orders (OPORD) and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGO).
- In cooperation with Aviation Management, ensures the flight Contingency Operations (CONOPs - flight plans/routes) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the company are adhered to
- Ensures that the company personnel and aircraft crews follow all safety and procedural requirements as mandated by Forward Operating Bases
- Works with military units to maximize the utilization and operational effectiveness of aircraft
- Provides innovative and creative solutions to problems
- Works with the company Management to ensure proper life support on Forward Operating Bases
- Liaises with Military Movement Control units to ensure proper and timely aircraft loading and unloading
- Accompanies aircraft and cargo to maintain chain of custody for US Mail and Ammo
- Dependant on operational demands, Ramp Managers must be able to transition between the role of Ramp Manager: SPV and Ramp Manager: Mail and Ammo
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a leadership role in an adverse or conflict area, covering personnel management, logistics issues, problem solving and critical thinking
- Ability to work harmoniously in an international, dynamic and multicultural environment
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and be highly organized
- Ability to find creative solutions to operational problems
- Able to manually load/unload aircraft cargo as necessary up to 4,400lbs per flight
- Ability to adapt to organizational change in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines
- Proven experience working within a multicultural environment
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Well developed computer skills
- Willingness to fly in company aircraft to ensure delivery of cargo throughout Afghanistan
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
- Former military Non Commissioned Officer
- Technical Skills in Microsoft office programs, emphasis will be on MS Access, excel, word, power point, outlook, and MS Publisher.
- Training from a recognized institution of higher learning is preferred with work experience of at least 1 year in an aviation environment. However, demonstrative work proficiency will be acceptable.
- Experience in an aviation related industry
- Farsi or Russian language abilities
