Principal Weapons Systems Engineer
Summary:
The Principal Weapons System Engineer provides engineering expertise in the field of weapons systems and combat systems. Provides specialized technical support to combat systems/electronics shops, other SRF departments, and to the RSNF organization, particularly in the field of alterations, modifications, and systems test and integration of weapons systems. The incumbent shall be able to impart to RSNF designated personnel the unique characteristics of the position.
Education:
- A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering or other closely related disciplines. MS Electronic Engineering desired.
Experience:
- Progressively responsible positions in the field of weapons systems engineering and integration.
- Eight (8) year experience in a systems engineering or systems integration position including six (6) years in the area of shipboard weapons and combat systems.
- Combat Systems alignment experience is required. Fire Control Systems Engineering experience is desired.
- Eligible for U.S. Confidential Security Clearance.
