Site Manager - Aircraft Arresting Gear Systems
Job Summary:
- Manages the AAGS Preventative Maintenance Program on base to ensure that the implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives
- Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing the Program
- Directs and coordinates Program activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions with knowledge and experience to enhance the Program
- Confers with personnel to explain Program and individual responsibilities for phases of the Program
- Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinate managerial personnel, activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified Program objectives
- Ensures all AAGS personnel carry out their duties as per airfield, workshop,safety and tool control procedures
- Manages manpower, shift rosters, safety and maintains accurate databases
- Manages schedules for maintenance of equipment as per OEM manuals
- Procurement of spares and consumables
Responsibilities:
- Plans and supervises AAGS personnel to ensure the department is run in an efficient manner
- Provide the company and the customer with a realistic work schedule
- The Manager must ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance
- The Manager will monitor, follow up and supervise ongoing maintenance to ensure milestones are met as per schedule
- The Manager will ensure all quality criteria are met as laid down by QA Department
- Maintain a high level of motivation and professionalism within the engineering team
- Provide weekly / monthly progress reports to the Program Manager and customer as requested
- Responsible for the working budget and providing balance sheets and expense reports
- Maintain employee records and working hours

• PCA and Saudia Airlines
• USAF representatives and overseas guests
Internal relationships:
• Procurement department
• Shipping department
• HR department
External relationships:
• Local vendors
• Shipping, transportation and heavy equipment suppliers
Qualifications:
The applicant should have,
• Completed a formal manufacturers training program / course or equivalent on Aircraft Arresting Gear Systems
• A minimum of 10 years experience working with Aircraft Arresting Gear Systems applicable to the Royal Saudi Air Force
• A minimum of five years experience in a training / supervisory position
• The ability to communicate and demonstrate skills and methods accurately
and clearly
Qualifications, knowledge and ability required:
• Broad based technical / electro mechanical background
• BSc Mech Eng or equivalent
• Min 10 years experience in relevant engineering background
• Leadership and administrative skills
• Computer literate
• Ability to write clear, concise reports
• Excellent people management skills
• Good communication skills in the English language
• Project management skills
• Posses drive, enthusiasm, confidence, adaptability, patience and tenacity
• Ability to work under pressure in the field
• Ability to work within a mixed nationality work force
• Good sense of humor essential
