Maintenance QA
To prevent the occurrence of defects throughout the maintenance cycle.
Key Tasks:
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of fixed and rotary wing aircraft
- Work with the Maintenance Chief to ensure that all maintenance procedures and protocols are adhered to
- Provide technical expertise in aviation maintenance fields
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance SOPs
- Maintain an aircraft publications library
- Maintain and develop an electronic database to track scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical expert in one or more fields of aviation maintenance repair, i.e., engines, airframes, avionics, propellers and rotors
- Familiarity with Soviet aircraft structures and components, e.g., Mil Mi-8T/Mi-8MTV, Mil Mi26, Kamov KA-32, Illyushin IL-76, Antonov An-26/32, An-24
- Former U.S. Military Quality Assurance Representative, or extensive experience in a similar civilian role
- US Military trained or “A&P” (airframe/power plant) certified
- Successfully completed tour in either Iraq or Afghanistan or lived and worked extensively in a similar austere environment
- Proven experience working within a multicultural environment
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Well developed computer skills
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
- Russian language abilities
- Previous experience working with Soviet aircraft and maintenance procedures
- Expert knowledge of Soviet aircraft component design and function
