Legal Compliance Manager

Key Tasks:

  • Responsible for the management and direction of compliance across the Company, to ensure that the business complies with all requirements laid out by legislation, contracts and internal policies and ensure that the business has the systems, frameworks and controls in place to prevent, monitor, mitigate and manage identified risks appropriately and within a controlled way.
  • Responsible for embedding legal and compliance standards and procedures throughout the business and to provide technical support and guidance to the business.
  • Develop and maintain a compliance program for the Company, reporting that commensurate with size and complexities of the business, of the Company as a whole.
  • Develop, maintain, publish and archive clear and effective policies and procedures, guidelines and other controls that appropriately and effectively address all compliance and ethics risks, implementing controls, to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and control internal and external conflicts of interest.
  • Provide management with appropriate compliance reports as requested by management and Directors.
  • Properly and thoroughly investigate, and manage investigations of Company services operations and manage the implementation of appropriate and proper, effective remediation of any non-compliance.
  • Identifies potential areas compliance vulnerability and risk; developing and implementing action plans for the proper resolution of problematic issues, and providing general guidance to management and staff on dealing with similar situations in the future.
  • Keeps up to date in respect of legislative and regulatory changes and developments, and ensures that any changes to rules and regulations are appropriately communicated to Directors, management and staff.
  • Liaison with regulators both domestically and internationally.
  • Liaise with internal risk management, internal and external audit as well as legal advisors when required.
  • Liaise with internal US Government contract resources

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Five to Seven (5-7) years compliance experience
  • Must have Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) experience.
  • A degree in Law/Business Administration or any related subject
  • Experience of managing projects and implementing similar programs
  • Solid advisory skills
  • Excellent English language skills both spoken and written
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Must be prepared to travel

Preferable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional Compliance qualification
  • Experience preparing and delivering compliance training to a wide range of staff.
