Flight Operations Technician

Duties:
- Assist the RSAF Tactical / Training Squadron Commander in accomplishing administrative tasks and clerical duties associated with daily activities of the operation section. This includes: typing, preparation of daily flying schedules, coordination with other agencies, maintenance of operations charts and records, and other actions necessary in the daily accomplishment of the flying program.
- Technicians will also be capable of establishing and maintaining the film library, designing training aids and maintaining slides and tape programs to support the learning center carrels in squadron operations.
- Must be capable of typing in the English language with adequate speed and accuracy.
- Supervises maintenance of data systems pertaining to aircraft operations, flying hour allocation and utilization, and aircrew and operations support resources training and accomplishments.
- Plans and schedules operations activities.
- Monitors flight management policies and procedures.
- Provides aircrew analysis and assists in establishing procedures for training and utilization of individuals assigned or attached as flying resources.
- Supervises aircrew operations activities.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and schedules operations system management.
- Plans and schedules aircrews and aircraft missions.
- Maintains mission information and planning data, determine if maximum benefit is realized from available resources allotted to operational functional areas.
- Reviews mission accomplishment reports for accuracy.
- Analyzes operational data from reports.
- Summarizes, interprets, and relates data collected to operations training plans, aircrew and flying hour utilization.
- Determines the media for most effective presentation of data and prepares narrative summaries.
- Accomplishes technical aircrew management functions.
- Reviews personnel action requests pertaining to aircrew members to determine the effect on their flying status.
- Monitors flight physical, physiological training, aircrew qualification requirements and other various operation related programs.
- Analyzes higher headquarters procedures and policies as they affect the aircrew resource management program.
- Develops and implements local procedures.
- Maintains custodial control and accountability for operations resources.
- Acts as technical advisor on all matters pertaining to aircrew management systems.
- Maintains liaison with operation work-centers and using activities on aircrew management procedural changes to achieve timely and accurate implementation.
- Operates remote computers.
- Monitors and controls operation data.
- Establishes and conducts On-the-Job training for operation system management personnel.
- Indoctrinates newly assigned personnel concerning organizational structure, chain of command and local operating procedures.
- Schedules and conducts job proficiency training in operation system management and related subjects on a continuing basis.
- Supervises individual progress in upgrade and proficiency training and monitor individual development and flexibility in all related subjects.
- Inspects and evaluates operations system management activities.
- Determines problem areas and trends, initiates remedial action as required.
- Inspects files of applicable functional directives for accuracy and completeness.
- Reviews operations system management procedures and recommends changes for increased efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Operations Resource Management Specialist.
- Minimum 7 Skill Level Required.
- Graduation from a USAF Technical Training School.
