Summary:

The Electronics Technician Data UYK-7 performs scheduled and corrective maintenance, overhauls and repairs on the AN/UYK-7(V) Computer, the OJ-172 I/O Console (DEAC) and associated equipment. Completes all related maintenance forms, logs, and records.

The incumbent must be able to impart to the RSNF designated personnel the unique characteristics of the position.

Education:

• High school (secondary school) graduate or equivalent education
• Completion of appropriate military or industrial training for the maintenance/repair of advance Data Processing equipment including maintenance/repair of the AN/UYK-7(V) Computer and the OJ-172 I/O Console (DEAC)

Experience:

• Five (5) years experience as a Data Processing Equipment Technician, Maintenance experience of at least two (2) years with the AN/UYK-7 (V) Computer and the OJ-172 I/O Console (DEAC) is required.
  Experience may be military or industrial.

Physical and/or other Specific Requirements:

• Must pass a complete physical and dental examination
• Must be able to work in severe environmental conditions
• Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
