Director Of Finance
Prime Objective:
- Ensuring the reliable administrative support to the operation of the company.
- USA Business Unit with a focus on financial aspects
- Coordinating overall P+L of contracts involving different business units (such as LOGCAP IV)
- Assuming overall responsibility for monthly closing according to Group financial policies
- Assuming overall responsibility for yearly statutory closing according to US
- GAAP for the US legal entity and IFRS for other legal entities (e.g. UAE)
- Coordinating and validating financial bids and requests for proposals
- Coordinating and validating monthly forecasts
- Regular liaising with operational managers in Afghanistan and other regions
- Provide guidance in relation to cost and pricing on all contracts/proposals that fall under the auspices of the US Federal Acquisition Regulations
Key Tasks:
- Leading the Group USA Business Unit's finance team in Dubai
- Managing the capital employed of the Group USA Business Unit (especially cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables)
- Ensuring the capture of all transactions is done in a timely manner and in accordance with the corporate financial policies and relevant local GAAP
- Setting-up adequate control mechanisms and adapting the internal processes in a way to ensure maximum of efficiency and reliability regular monthly analysis of the P+L and all balance sheet
- Positions including reconciliation tasks and comments to be provided to corporate finance in Switzerland
- Providing all relevant financial information to the Business unit Director in a regular and reliable way
- Monitoring monthly inter-company recharges by assuring they are done in a timely and consistent way and in line with current service level agreements
- Statutory closing according to local GAAP of dedicated legal entity based in USA and IFRS for other legal entities
- liaising with US financial authorities and statutory auditors regarding US regulations of the US based legal entity
- Preparation of business plans and investment applications to corporate finance and requests for proposal to government authorities
- Suggesting improvements to corporate finance with regards to various financial aspects: ERP system, policies and procedures, business dimensions etc.
- Regular visits of the operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere in order to stay in contact with the operational business minimizing all cash involving operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere
- Personally overseeing all external audits, be it by government agencies or by the statutory auditors
- Assuring timely and proper capturing of fixed assets transfers and disposals
- Participating in meetings with other Directors of Finance and Administration
- Taking-up special projects as assigned
