Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as A Subject Matter Specialist on selection of CBT authoring systems, encoding CBT lessons, determining background and highlight colors, words and graphics positioning, drawing of computer illustrations and debugging of CBT lessons.
  • Provide advice and guidance on determining background and highlight colors, words and graphics positioning, drawing of computer illustrations and debugging of CBT lessons.
  • Work with Instructional Designers and Writers in validating, evaluating and revising CBT lessons.
  • Work with Instructional Designers and Writers in debugging CBT lessons.
  • Work with Instructional Designers and Writers in determining background and highlight colors and word and graphic positioning.
  • Recommend ways to adapt established Training Programs to the needs of the RSAF.
  • Maintain liaison and coordination with RSAF organizations that develop, validate, and revise CBT programs.
  • Conduct On-the-Job Training, for assigned RSAF personnel, IAW RSAF Manuals and Directives.
  • Ensure that curricula produced are technically accurate and are developed according to ISD/SAT methodology.
  • Prepare progress reports and conduct professional briefing on CBT.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A recognized degree in Computer Based Training or, satisfactory completion of a recognized course which trains students to plan, design, develop, validate, and revise Computer Based Training Courses is mandatory.
  • Completion of a recognized formal Instructional System Development Course is highly desirable.
  • Completion of a recognized formal Instructional Techniques Course is highly desirable.
  • At least three years (3) practical experience in the last five (5) years, which included designing, encoding, evaluating and debugging CBT courseware is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas and thoughts, orally and in writing, with a high degree of skill is mandatory.
  • Ability to operate personal computers proficiently is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with RSAF training publications is highly desirable.
