Compliance Manager – AOC
Key Tasks:
- Implement, facilitate and monitor the Quality and Airworthiness Management Systems, including auditing, supplier compliance, continuing airworthiness and
performance monitoring throughout the Aviation Business Unit, to ensure ongoing quality and airworthiness compliance with customer and maintenance
regulatory requirements. - Implement and manage the Quality and Airworthiness Management
- Systems to comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate compliance with Quality/Airworthiness maintenance regulations and standards throughout the Aviation Business Unit.
- Coordinate the establishment of systems to meet the requirements and attain an Air Operators Certification in an FAA/EASA equivalent regulatory
framework. - Manage and coordinate continuing airworthiness requirements to maintain the Air Operator Certification.
- Provide interpretation, advice and guidance within the Aviation Business Unit for Quality/Airworthiness compliance requirements.
- Lead audits of the Quality/Airworthiness management system.
- Coordinate and conduct Quality/Airworthiness Assurance activities.
- Travel to areas of company operations to conduct audits, assurance activities and deliver training - Afghanistan, UAE, Africa, etc.
- Oversee the implementation of corrective actions to external and internal audit findings, within the required timescales.
- Provide advice to project teams and senior management on the implication of compliance requirements on proposed contracts.
- Create and maintain professional links to regulatory agencies, other Business Unit quality staff and other bodies as required/appropriate.
- Facilitate the development and review procedures and policies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience managing and coordinating Air Operator Certification requirements and certification in a FAA/EASA equivalent CAA framework.
- Experience in developing, implementing and managing operational regulatory requirements and policies.
- Ability to liaise with the relevant CAA and coordinate the relevant CAA oversight activities.
- Hold a recognized degree in engineering, sciences or business management related to the aviation industry or suitable equivalent aviation knowledge and experience in Quality/Airworthiness.
- Extensive experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control positions.
- Experience in the implementation and management of aerospace Quality and Airworthiness Management Systems.
- Be a Lead Auditor with experience auditing quality and airworthiness regulatory requirements.
- Experience with quality ISO 9001:2008 regulations.
- Experience with airworthiness ICAO, FAA/EASA, and CAA regulations.
- Knowledge of customer requirements including United Nations, US Department of Defense and the Contracted Airlift Review Board process.
- Good communication skills at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Prior experience working within a multicultural environment.
- Fluent English speaking and writing.
- Well developed computer skills, including databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Aerospace Quality standards including AS9100.
- Previous combat tour or extensive experience in austere environments.
- Russian or French language skills.
