Duties and Responsibilities:

• The CIWS Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the Close-In Weapon System and associated equipment
• Completes all related maintenance forms, logs, and records
• The incumbent will impart to RSNF designated personnel the unique characteristics of the position

EDUCATION:

• High school (secondary school) graduate
• Completion of appropriate military or industrial training for the maintenance/repair of electronic equipment including the MK 15 Close-In Weapons System
• Certificates required

Experience:

• Six (6) years experience as an Ordnance Electronics Technician in the operation, maintenance, test and repair of position related equipment
• Four (4) years with the MK 15 Close-In Weapons System is required
• Experience may be Military or industrial

PHYSICAL AND/ OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass a complete physical and dental examination
• Must be able to work in severe environmental conditions
• Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
