Business Development Manager (Strategic)

Key Tasks:
- Identify and develop business opportunities for Company worldwide
- Develop and assess latent market needs and perform timely and accurate strategic analyses and correlation which result in Company solutions to potential customer problems.
- Identify, assess and track competitors
- Develop and analyze courses of action to gain competitive advantage by matching Company strengths against competitor weaknesses
- Promote Company capabilities with major key international stakeholders. Open new international markets, both geographically and in the industry sector.
- Provide clear, compelling and articulate explanations of our business value to prospective customers
- Generate qualified leads for senior management follow-up
- Promote Company capabilities
- Promote Company with a positive, confidence-inspiring image which positions key international decision makers to include Company as a potential solution in their long-term planning; particularly to satisfy immediate demands and operations in austere environments
- Serve as the Company subject matter expert internationally to assist potential customers in operational planning
- Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships
- Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; identifying and exploring opportunities
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potentials, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities
- Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
- Protect Company's value by keeping information confidential
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Manage relationships with key international actors
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from an accredited university
- Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning
- Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge
- Presentation Skills, Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism
- Experience of commercial activities and support requirements for aviation logistic operations
- Experience in the contracting arrangements with various commercial, governments, non-government organizations and military
- At least two years military experience in the area of aviation, air movements, transport or logistics
- Aptitude to quickly understand the Company Business Unit activities and capabilities
- Conversational French language skills
- Computer skills which include at least MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Visio
Preferable Skills and Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from an accredited university
- United Nations staff experience
- Military experience involving operations in austere environments, preferably with tours in the Middle East or Africa
