Avionics Instruments & Flight Control Instructor - B-Shop

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design develop and conduct courses in a wide range of subjects in the Flight Control Systems career Field that include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting techniques, assembly of parts, modification of components, testing of control units, and the use of related ground equipment.
- Preparation of Training Documentation including Course Control Documents, Student Study Guides, and Lesson Plans.
- Supervise student practical work and ensure that safety precautions are observed, compile training progress and disciplinary reports for students in sphere of responsibility and maintain documentation on training and trainees.
- Assist, when required, in the formal assessment of student progress.
- Conduct advanced F-15S technical courses for RSAF personnel at the five (5) skill level or above.
- Conduct professional development courses to prepare RSAF personnel for management positions.
- Provide qualification training for newly assigned instructors.
- Act as Curriculum Specialist when required, maintain and operate any training aids or equipment.
- Maintain a Safe Custody Register.
- Conduct general technical courses not restricted to Flight Control maintenance.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of a military service or recognized civilian Technical Training Institute having specialized in Flight Control Systems.
- Must have completed a formal Instructional Techniques Course.
- Must be capable of designing, developing and conducting all courses in accordance with RSAFM 10503.
- At least two (2) years instructional experience, (in the past five (5) years), including instruction in the Flight Control Systems career field is mandatory.
- At least five (5) years practical experience in the Flight Control Systems career field is also mandatory.
