AIS - Avionics Auto Test Station Instructor

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and conduct courses, such as Maintenance procedures, techniques and practices applicable to on-aircraft equipment, off-aircraft servicing and re-certification of avionics equipment.
- Preparation of Training Documentation including Course Control Documents, Student Study Guides and Lesson Plans.
- Conduct general technical courses on basic principles of linear and digital electronics, radio and radar techniques.
- Instruct courses on basic principles to analyze performance and isolate malfunctions of Avionics Electronic Equipment, Computerized Test Station and Support Equipment by inspecting, disassemble, align, program, calibrate, modify and conduct check outs.
- Instruct use of basic maintenance of general purpose and special to type test equipment, basic electronic workshop practices and techniques including soldering, crimping and the use of Precision Measuring Equipment: reading and interpreting electrical, electronic and digital system diagrams.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of a military service or recognized civilian Technical Training Institute having specialized in the Intermediate Avionics Computerized Test Station career field.
- Must have completed a formal Instructional Techniques Course.
- Must have at least two (2) years Instructional experience, (in the past 5 years), including instruction in the Avionics Computerized Test Station career field.
- At least three (3) years practical experience in the Intermediate Avionics Computerized Test Station career field is also mandatory.
