Aviation Warehouse Manager

To manage and coordinate the preparation for onward movement of all inbound aviation cargo transiting through company warehouse facilities located within the U.A.E.

Key Tasks:

  • Manage the warehousing and preparation for onward movement of approximately 1,000 metric tons of aviation cargo per week
  • Manage a team of two to three personnel in round the clock operations
  • Manage the building of all aircraft loads
  • Record, monitor and track all aviation cargo transiting through the warehousing facilities
  • Ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Develop, institute and monitor operational reporting procedures
  • Work with the Assistant Operations Controller and Inbound Operations Manager to ensure continuous, round the clock warehousing operations
  • Liaise with cargo suppliers and recipients to ensure accurate cargo deliveries
  • Liaise with other company business units to report inventory status, estimated delivery dates, etc
  • Aggressively track and monitor warehouse inventory
  • React rapidly to shifting priorities while maintaining control over critical requirements
  • Ensure compliance with ICAO, US Military, NATO, UN and host nation CAA directives
  • Manage aircraft loading personnel
  • Manage employee issues, and when necessary liaise with the Human Resources Division
  • Ensure accurate and timely transmission of Flight Advisories and other associated aircraft movement messages

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive aviation warehouse experience
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft loading and load-building, to include dangerous goods handling for air transport
  • Previous experience with cargo tracking and monitoring
  • Experience with invoicing and the development of financial controls, i.e., cost savings and cost comparisons
  • Ability to manage and integrate horizontally with other company business units
  • Ability to make sound command decisions based on operational and financial considerations
  • Ability to delegate, coach and guide subordinates towards successful outcomes
  • Proven experience working within a multicultural environment
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Well developed computer skills
  • Experience of providing operations statistics for financial purposes
  • Well developed Microsoft Office, Excel, Word & Outlook skills.

Preferable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior military aviation or warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of FAA/ICAO/IATA regulations
  • Dangerous Goods Certified
