Structural Engineer
Location: Kansas
This master requisition
covers all position levels for Structural Engineer at
our Client. Your application to this master requisition
will allow our recruiters to assess your skills and
experience, and determine the most appropriate position
level.
Job Description:
Will conduct durability and damage tolerance analysis of
aircraft structures for new aircraft development
programs and legacy aircraft. Will develop technical
solutions to routine problems of moderate scope and
complexity. Will represent the organization as a primary
D&DT technical contact on projects. Will interact with
senior internal and external personnel on technical
matters requiring coordination between organizations.
Required Skills:
Complete understanding and wide application of
engineering principles and concepts for static analysis
and, to a lesser extent, durability and damage tolerance
analysis of aircraft structure.
Must be capable of complete design documentation and
assistance in certification efforts.
Able to work independently and to have good
communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to understand engineering drawings, specifications,
and other design criteria.
Ability to work under only general direction and to work
independently to complete a project or work and
coordinate as part of team assigned to complete a
specific project on schedule.
Must be able to scope project size and develop and
outline a technical approach for problems.
Desired Skills:
Be familiar with CFR 23 and CFR 25 certification
requirements. Be capable of planning and evaluating
fatigue and materials property tests. Be familiar with
crack propagation software such as CRACKS95/CRACKS2000,
or AFGROW.
Required Education:
B.S. Engineering – General, Aerospace Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering. Have at least two (2) years of
relevant experience which includes some Durability and
Damage Tolerance.
