Properties Engineer
Location: Kansas
This master requisition
covers all position levels for Mass Properties Engineer at
our Client. Your application to this master requisition
will allow our recruiters to assess your skills and
experience, and determine the most appropriate position
level.
Job Description:
Will support design changes and mass properties analysis
for new aircraft development programs. Develops
technical solutions to complex problems that require the
use of ingenuity and creativity. Must be capable of
complete analysis documentation and assistance in
certification efforts, as required. Will represent the
organization as a primary mass properties technical
contact on projects. Will interact with senior internal
and external personnel on significant technical matters
requiring coordination between organizations.
Required Skills:
Complete understanding and wide application of
engineering principles and concepts for analysis of
aircraft mass properties. Must be able to perform design
support, weight control, and weight verification.
Experience with aircraft delivery documentation
required. Able to understand engineering drawings,
specifications, and other design criteria. Must be
capable of complete design documentation and assistance
in certification efforts, as required. Must have a
working knowledge of other disciplines in an Integrated
Product Team (IPT) environment.
Working knowledge of CATIA to evaluate mass properties
of aircraft designs. Familiar with aircraft and CAR 4b,
FAR 23 and FAR 25 certification requirements.
Ability to work under general direction. Must be able to
work independently to complete a project or work and
coordinate as part of team assigned to complete a
specific project on schedule. Must be able to scope
project size and develop and outline a technical
approach for problems. Must have good communication
skills, both written and verbal.
Desired Skills:
Six (6) years experience with aircraft mass properties
analysis with a B.S. in Engineering is preferred.
Equivalent experience and degrees in related Engineering
disciplines, Physical Science, Computer Science, or
Mathematics may be considered.

B.S. Engineering – General, Aerospace Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering
