Summary:

Reports to the Senior
Vice President Technical Administration
-
Direct and coordinate
activities of personnel engaged in acquiring engines
or engine related material. In addition, develop and
implement a continuous internal and external
management plan for all engine acquisitions at a
technical level.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
-
Manage /Coordinate /
Schedule engine pre buy audits
-
Manage /Coordinate /
Schedule Consultants utilized on pre buy audits
Develop and maintain effective pre- buy audit
criteria related to all technical evaluations
related to engine acquisitions ensuring quality
products are recommended for purchase
-
Supervise Engine
Acquisition Specialist(s) and support staff
-
Provide detailed and
accurate reports outlining status of related pre buy
projects
-
Develop and maintain
pre buy procedures to improve department
reliability
-
Develop training
campaigns for various engine product lines
-
Responsible for
technical engine analyst recruitment, orientation,
and training
Qualification/Requirements:
-
Must have High School
Diploma or equivalent experience.
-
Minimum 10 years of
aviation management and 10 years of technical
engine experience
-
Strong customer service
orientation
-
Excellent communication
skills
-
Bilingual
(English/Spanish); additional languages a plus
-
Ability to network
across the company effectively and maintain good
working relationship with all departments and
employees
-
Self-motivated, strong
planning, organizational and time management skills
-
Proficient with
software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel,
Outlook, Access
-
Desire to work in a
small firm environment, which requires a broad range
of skills
-
Must have a strong
working knowledge of industry standard requirements
related to marketability of commercial engine
technical documentation.
-
Must have a strong
technical knowledge of various commercial engine
models such as CFM56-2, CFM56-3, CFM56-5, CF680,
PW2000, PW 4000 and RB211535E4.
-
A & P License a plus
Work Environment:
Work is normally performed
in a typical office work environment. 50% travel
domestic and interantional.
