Avionics Engineer

Summary: A
large, specialized
contractor& service provider working to meet customers’ special
requirements. The Company is based and operates in KSA and the
gulf region, working with as a supply chain manager and support provider
in repair and refurbishment for aerospace and related ground support
equipment; the Company currently employs about 1000 people with an
annual turnover in excess of 50 Million Dollars.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Ensure the
aircrafts are maintained in an airworthy condition between scheduled
maintenance checks.
-
Inspecting and
repairing aircraft parts, components, and systems and ensure
compliance with applicable Aviation Regulations, RSAF policies and
procedures, and manufacturer’s recommendations;
-
Coordinating and
performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircrafts,
aircraft systems and parts.
-
Performing
inspections of completed work, aircraft systems, and parts based on
aircraft schedule.

Assess and address
aircraft maintenance challenges and problems in a timely and
efficient manner
-
Ensure aircrafts
and equipment maintenance is properly and thoroughly documented in
accordance with RSAF regulations; This includes updating and
maintaining maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books and
regulatory updates, and other technical directives.

Ensure appropriate
aircraft spares and supplies, inventory levels, and appropriate
inventory control functions are maintained.

Supervising the assembly of airframes and the installation of
engines, instruments and other equipment;

Maintaining aircraft for full operation, involving regular
inspections, maintenance and servicing;
-
Developing repair procedures, working out and managing schedules for
repair and maintenance;
-
Collating information, interpreting data and publishing the results
of specific projects in technical report form;
-
Storing paperwork for approved data (drawings, technical
instructions, assessments and calculations);
-
Working with teams, suppliers, clients and managers to agree
budgets, timescales and specifications;
-
Communicating technical and regulatory advice to teams, suppliers
and professionals within the aerospace industry.

Perform other
related duties as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
-
Strong
interpersonal and communication skills: the ability to interact
effectively with a wide variety people of diverse professional and
cultural backgrounds.
-
Valid, current FAA
Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Power plant ratings (A&P);
-
Min. 4 years work
experience with heavy jet transport maintenance, including
electrical and ground support experience;
-
Demonstrated
supervisory experience.
-
Demonstrated
knowledge of and experience with aircraft maintenance and repair;
-
Proven knowledge of
RSAF regulations.
-
Previous
international work experience highly desirable.

situations quickly and follow-up efficiently and effectively.

Exceptional
tolerance to stress: ability to function effectively in a demanding,

High degree of
computer literacy (Windows XP, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and
the Internet).

Proficient with
developing engineering drawings in CAD , knowledge and understanding
of fit, form and function of mechanical designs

A good
understanding of aerospace materials, requirements and fasteners.
-
Must be able to
obtain and maintain security clearance.
Education Required:
-
Aircraft related Assoc degree or A&P license + 6 years aircraft
maintenance experience.
-
H/S
or GED may substitute an additional 2 years aircraft maintenance
experience for Assoc degree/A&P.
-
Must
be fully knowledgeable in all aircraft systems: flight controls,
pneumatic, landing gear, fuel system, tires, brakes and struts.
-
Requires the ability to read, interpret and work from engineering
drawings, blueprints, T.O. specs and engineering specifications.
-
A degree or a
diploma, university degree is preferred.

Technical
engineering B. Sc. A E or B.Sc. M E.
-
Have held or worked
in similar work environment within the last three years of his
career.
-
At least of
2-3 years of Engineering experience on fighter aircraft is preferred
