Chief Financial Officer

Summary:

To direct and overseas all financial activities of the corporation including preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.

• Overseas accounting departments, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction.

• Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.

• Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be recognized, down-sized, or eliminated.

• Confers division heads to coordinate and prioritize planning.

• Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas.

• Estimates requirements for capital, land, buildings, and an increase in the work force.

• Supervises investment of funds, works with banks and/or investment bankers to raise additional capital as required for expansion.

• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.

• CPA designation preferred.

• Experience in strategic planning and execution, knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management, knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, knowledge of automated financial and accounting report systems, knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

• Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.

• Eight to Ten years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills: the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety people of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.

• Proven leadership skills: the ability to successfully motivate and guide team members.

• Solid organization, analytical and problem solving skills: the ability to assess situations quickly and follow-up efficiently and effectively.

• Team oriented work style, with a pro-active, open-minded, and flexible approach.

• Exceptional tolerance to stress: ability to function effectively in a demanding, fast-paced, and constantly changing work environment.

• Proven multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
