Plans, organizes and
coordinates weapon systems, support supply related management
activities.

Plans and establishes
workloads and schedules.

Translates programming
data into material requirements.

Plans and analyzes
operational data and reports to ascertain degree of conformity with
established policies, work standards and procedural directives.

Provides for maximum use
of mechanized and electronic data processing outputs in planning
requirements for and analyzing weapon systems support problems.

Determines policies and
initiatives methods and procedures.
-
Analyzes and validates
supply support plans, recommends changes and coordinates supply
support planning initiatives with other logistics planning
activities.

Performs supply management
activities to increase readiness of RSAF weapon systems.

Acting for the Branch
Chief oversea the Initial Provisioning (IP) actions for new aircraft
and systemize to ensure IP stocks are provisioned accurately and
delivered on time.

Develops and monitors a
weapon systems critical item program to place priority on most
urgently needed item program in conjunction with readiness branch,
works current MICAP conditions to resolve them and takes action with
the supporting RSAF depot to prevent future recurrence of these
conditions.

Evaluates stockage policy
as pertains to weapon systems support and recommends appropriate
changes. Ensures effective controls of the weapon system inventory
to recommend specific procurement of follow-on pares on FMS "K"
cases and repair on "M" and "Q" cases.

Recommends buy-back to
sell excess items or items being purged from the inventory.
-
Recommends disposal of
items with no resale potential of future use for RSAF units.

Manages special activities
and programs for weapon system support as directed by the
branch chief.

Evaluates weapon system
management performance.

Reviews and analyzes
inspection and audit reports to determine, necessity for change in
work assignments or standards, additional facilities, or other
remedial action.

Serves as member of
working groups, or as representative of his branch at conferences
convened to review or accomplish research on supply policies,
methods, or procedures pertaining to weapon systems support.

Analyzes operational and
maintenance data to ascertain degree of supply support requirements,
and need for program revision to ensure maximum utilization.
Identifies trends, and initiates action to correct adverse
tendencies.

Validates requirements
within organizations supported.

Performs functions as
staff officer to accomplish following:
-
Preparation and
presentation of staff correspondence and papers.
-
Preparation of briefs and
presentations to Senior Staff Officers and visiting Officers.
-
Attendance at meeting and
conferences, including representation at program planning and review
meetings.

Provide advice and
recommendations on any of the above functions at staff officer level
to RSAF commanders.
