Integrated Avionics Instrument and Flight Control Systems Technician ("B" Shop)

Purpose:

To augment, advise and assist RSAF in an effective F-15 Integrated Avionics Instrument and Flight Control system maintenance an OJT operation. To qualify a cadre of RSAF maintenance officers, specialists, supervisors and skilled technicians capable of assuming responsibility for the F-15 maintenance organization as directed by RSAF.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots, inspects, repairs and maintains assigned aircraft and equipment.

• Perform on the job training for assigned trainees.

• Documents all maintenance actions as prescribed by established procedures.

• Performs acceptance inspections on newly assigned aircraft and equipment.

• Orders and receives parts.

• Performs specialty assignments, to include but not limited to flight line maintenance, phase dock maintenance, AGE, special vehicle maintenance, aircraft repair branch functions,intermediate maintenance fabrication shops, Inspects all aspects of aircraft avionics systems (Avionics QA Inspector), and avionics maintenance controller (Job Control / MOC)

Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of five years experience of which one year must be at the seven level as an F-15 Avionics Systems B-Shop Specialist.

• In addition, a minimum of one-year experience in performing supervising functions is desirable.  The use and interpretation of intermediate level test equipment is also desirable.

• To be assigned as an Avionics Inspector, must have a minimum of two years experience in Quality Assurance. To be assigned as an Avionics Controller, must have a minimum of two years experience in Job Control / MOC.
