Avionic
Technician
Location:
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Required
Citizenship: United States
Summary:
Performs
complete functional system checks on radio, RADAR,
electronic, LINK-16, navigational and other aircraft
systems. Performs preflight, post flight and other
inspections required to ensure aircraft is safe for
flight.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs
preflight, post flight and periodic functional
inspections on aircraft radio communication, RADAR,
navigation, other associated electronic equipment
systems.

Must be
able to read and comprehend schematic diagrams,
technical manuals, and Time Compliance Technical
Orders (TCTOs) to troubleshoot complex aircraft
system avionic and electrical systems.

Must be
familiar with using multimeters, meggers,
voltmeters, associated test equipment and a variety
of hand tools associated with the trade.

Installs
electrical harness, repairs harness, performs
continuity checks, hot pin checks, removes and
installs Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).

May be
required to perform aircraft system maintenance
outside of technical field.

Uses
Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) to test complete
electronic systems.
Knowledge and Experience:
-
Must have
graduated high school or equivalent.
-
Minimum
seven (5) years aircraft avionic / electrical
experience.

Completion
of formal technical school or certifying
organization
-
AWACS
experience a plus.
-
Airframe
and Power plant License a plus.
-
Must be
able to lift up to 75 pounds, walking, standing,
stooping in cramped positions, true color perception
is required.
The
length of term of this contract is through December of
2009. Start date is 1 June, 2009 (arrival date in Saudi
Arabia)
U.S.
citizenship is a requirement on this program. Applicants
must have, or be capable of securing a valid U.S.
passport. Applicants must also be capable of passing an
employment physical as part of the work visa processing
requirements.
