Technician

Summary:
Performs
a variety of duties associated with aircraft
maintenance. May perform corrosion inspection, sheet
metal work, or diagnose and correct system discrepancies
associated with the AWACS E-3A aircraft.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Disconnects, removes, and / or disassembles aircraft
system components, parts and structures using proper
technical manuals and drawings. May be required to
change aircraft tires.

May
perform troubleshooting and repair of discrepancies
ranging from flight controls, landing gear and
hydraulic related aircraft systems.

Conducts
aircraft inspections and/or tests by visually
checking equipment and parts, examining system
diagram and blueprints, manufacturing drawings and
other technical specifications.

Required
to complete aircraft documents and review for
accuracy. May be required to order parts and
material.
-
Perform
aircraft servicing of fluids, accumulators and
Oxygen related systems; perform preflight and post
flight inspections, capable of performing purging,
fueling and defueling of aircraft systems.

Perform
jacking, marshalling and towing of large aircraft
and related responsibilities.

Must be
familiar with trade related hand tools and their
operations.

Familiar
with aircraft servicing ground support equipment and
their operations.
Knowledge and Experience:
-
Must have
graduated high school or equivalent.
-
Minimum
five (5) years aircraft experience.
-
Completion
of formal technical school or certifying
organization
-
Fixed wing
aircraft experience, commercial aircraft a plus.
-
Engine-Run
Certification on large multi-engine aircraft a plus.
-
Airframe
and Power plant License a plus.

Must be
able to lift up to 75 pounds, walking, standing,
stooping in cramped positions, is required.
The
length of term of this contract is through December of
2009. Start date is 1 June, 2009 (arrival date in Saudi
Arabia)
U.S.
citizenship is a requirement on this program. Applicants
must have, or be capable of securing a valid U.S.
passport. Applicants must also be capable of passing an
employment physical as part of the work visa processing
requirements.
