Manager Career Development

Basic Functions:
Duties / Responsibilities:
-
Design and
implement learning and development strategy, in line with business
objectives and overall organizational strategy.
-
Design and
implement competency based learning and development policies,
procedures and practices.
-
Identify all core
competencies and skills for every position in the Company.
-
Identify the career
development needs, against the core competencies and manager
requirements.
-
Accurately assess
corporate needs and competency gap analysis, and formulate the
necessary competency based training.
-
Design and
implement group learning and educational programmes, in addition to
organizing and coordinating external approved courses.
-
Set up an in-house
learning resource, which provides tailor made management development
programmes, as per the Company’s requirements and needs.
- Monitor and
evaluate the performance of management development and training
provided and introduce improvements where necessary.
Education and
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree
in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related
field.
-
CIPD/SHRM qualified
or equivalent membership status from an alternative professional
institution.
-
Excellent
interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication
skills.
-
Must have the
ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with
managers, employees, and others external to the Company, such as
trainers, consultants, and agencies.
-
Must have the
ability to present facts and recommendations in a clear and concise
manner.
-
Should be
experienced in observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining
information from all relevant sources.
-
Must have the
ability to prepare and implement medium/long-term plans and
programmes.
-
Must have the
ability to deliver training programmes, workshops and seminars, with
excellent platform skills.
-
Must be computer
literate.
-
Must be excellent
in English language writing, reading, and speaking.
-
Should have at
least 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years working
closely with training managers and, 5 years managerial and
supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant
education and/or experience.
